The third Liberty Loan campaign of 1918 is the focus of this color lithograph, which urges viewers to remember the flag of liberty and buy U.S. government bonds. Liberty Loans were wartime bond drives that helped the federal government finance American participation in World War I, and their posters were printed in large numbers and displayed in public places. The catalog lists immigrants among the poster's subjects, which reflects wartime efforts to reach foreign-born residents with the call to invest in the war. The poster was printed by Heywood Strasser & Voigt Litho. Co., a New York lithography firm.
