The "wild wheel whirl" of the Seven Gaynells is the headline draw on this poster for the Forepaugh & Sells Brothers show, a traveling circus that combined two rival tented shows. Around 1902, circus bills like this one competed for attention on city walls, and Cincinnati's Strobridge Lithographing Company printed many of them in bold color. Cycling acts were a popular circus and vaudeville feature in the early 1900s, when the bicycle was still new and thrilling to watch.
