Rather than a battle scene or a crowd, this poster pairs a portrait of Francisco Franco with a slogan rejecting the domination of Spain by any one class, whether capitalists or proletarians. Printed in Seville in 1939 by the Servicio Nacional de Propaganda, it appeared as the Civil War was ending with the Nationalist victory. The arrows that appear in its design were common emblems of the Falangist movement, which the Nationalist side folded into its public imagery. The poster presents Franco as a figure standing above class conflict, a message aimed at promoting national unity in the years after the war.
