Printed in German, this poster promises the "most astonishing and surprising" trapeze feats, a detail that sets it apart from the English-language circus bills of the period. It was produced by the Strobridge Lithographing Company of Cincinnati, a firm known for much of the American circus poster trade, and it advertises the Barnum & Bailey show as it appeared in Germany around 1900. Chromolithography allowed bold, flat color to carry the message, with the aerial acts placed at the center as the main attraction.
