A view of West Main Street in Trinidad, Colorado, the county seat of Las Animas County, taken in June 1907. The caption card's tracings point to a street lined with the courthouse, hotels, a hospital, a railroad station, and a jail, which suggests a busy commercial and civic corridor. Trinidad had grown up around coal mining and the railroad in the southern Rockies, and the Albertype Company, a Brooklyn firm, produced photogravures like this one as souvenir views of western towns.
