Blanche Greer's 1918 poster, titled *The America of Tomorrow*, presents the Red Cross less as a wartime relief force than as a builder of community health for the years ahead. Printed as a color offset poster in the last year of the First World War, it belongs to a wave of American Red Cross publicity that asked citizens to support the organization's work at home as well as overseas. The subject headings point to nurses, a fitting emphasis for a period when Red Cross nursing and home health efforts were growing quickly and the influenza pandemic of that same year made such work urgent.
