Tommy Morrissey and Kittie Proctor, billed here as the original Kid Globe Duo, are presented as America's soft shoe double dancers, a label that placed them among the many act teams touring the vaudeville and variety circuits of their day. Both performers signed the image, a personal touch common on theatrical publicity pictures that were handed out to fans and theater managers. The print was made by photomechanical process, with the photogravure image produced by Russell-Morgan and the phototype supplied by the Art Publishing Co. of Boston, which shows how commercial printers turned studio portraits into inexpensive advertising for traveling performers.
