Henderson Harbor is a sheltered bay on the eastern shore of Lake Ontario, in Jefferson County, New York. The caption card gives no date, but its subject tracings include riding, which suggests the scene may show the waterfront as a summer destination rather than only a working port. Lake harbors like this one were long used by fishing boats, sailing craft and steamers carrying freight and passengers. The print comes from the Wittemann Collection, and its catalog details come from the caption card and remain unverified.
