The drawing shows a bathroom that opens directly onto a tiled sun terrace, with unglazed ceramic tile, 1 1/16 inches in size, running across both floor and walls. Hardoy chairs, the wire-and-leather designs by Jorge Ferrari-Hardoy, are also shown on the terrace. The house was designed by Charles Eames and Eero Saarinen for John Entenza, editor of *Arts & Architecture*, as part of the magazine's Case Study House program for modern postwar living. Drawn in graphite and colored pencil on tracing paper and mounted on board, the sheet shows the planning of the house as much as its finished form.
