Dated October 14, 1948, these diazo prints document Case Study House No. 8, the house Charles Eames designed for himself at 203 Chautauqua Boulevard in West Los Angeles. The Case Study House program, sponsored by John Entenza, editor of *Arts & Architecture* magazine, invited modern architects to design efficient, affordable homes for postwar living. The color scheme was executed by Ray Eames, and Kenneth Acker served as architect of record and draftsman, so the sheets reflect a close collaboration. Laminated plastics and color were central to the design.
