Few images on this board show a hotel as a whole, and this full front view puts the Tifft House's entire facade on display. The Tifft House was one of Buffalo's well-known hotels in the late 1800s and early 1900s, a place where business travelers and visitors to the growing lake port stayed. The photograph was taken around 1907 and carries a copyright credit to Bliss Bros. of Buffalo, a local firm that issued views of city buildings. The record's details come from an older caption card and have not been verified, so the date is best read as approximate.
