This drawing is catalogued under the subjects of drawbridges in Tokyo and foreign visitors to the city between 1850 and 1900, so its focus is a bridge scene seen alongside outsiders. The record credits Isoda Koryūsai, an Edo-based ukiyo-e artist known for woodblock prints and book illustrations who was active from the 1760s to the 1780s. Its date of 1750 falls before his working years, so that date should be treated as uncertain. The later subject headings point to the late Edo and early Meiji periods, when Tokyo was opening to foreign residents and travelers.
