The slogan on this 1938 poster poses a question meant as an invitation: "We are all ignorant on some subjects - what is yours?" The lettering below it offers free adult education enrollment in Columbus, Ohio, one of the public classes the Works Progress Administration supported during the Depression. The Federal Art Project, which sponsored the work, used silkscreen to produce bold, flat-colored posters cheaply enough to hang in schools and public buildings, so adults who had left school early could learn how to return.
