A woman in a brief costume, blue tights, and a pink cape with feathers in her hair fills this 1899 color lithograph. The poster was printed by the Courier Litho. Co. of Buffalo, New York, a firm that produced many theatrical and entertainment bills in the late 1800s. Chromolithography like this was the main way traveling shows advertised before photographic reproduction became common, and the bold flat colors and large figure were meant to catch the eye from a street wall. The record gives the title as devised by cataloguers, so the performer's name and act are not recorded here.
