Few winter posters from this period name their destination as directly as this one, which advertises Sainte-Croix and Les Rasses, two villages in the Vaud Jura. The slogan "Tous les sports" ("All sports") signals a resort that offered skiing and other winter pastimes, and the initials C.F.F. show that Swiss Federal Railways issued it to encourage travelers to ride the train into the mountains. It was printed in Yverdon by E. Studer using offset lithography, and the bracketed date of 1922 is an estimate. Posters like this one were a common way for the rail network to promote tourism in the years after the First World War.
