The only identifying detail for this glass negative is the name Chas. W. Fautawks, written on the National Photo Company sleeve, and the library has not verified it, so treat it as tentative. Dated between 1909 and 1920 from other negatives in the same group, it comes from a period when the National Photo Company, a Washington, D.C., commercial studio, produced large runs of plates. Its 5 by 7 inch format was common then, and any streaks on the glass may reflect natural deterioration of the original coating.
