This glass negative holds a portrait of Dr. Fred N. Zihlman, whose title marks him as a medical doctor. The date, December 14, 1920, comes from a related negative in the series rather than from the sleeve itself. The National Photo Company, a Washington, D.C., studio, produced a large body of portraits and event pictures in the early twentieth century, and its glass plates later came to the Library of Congress as a gift.
