The record offers little beyond the title on the negative sleeve, "Farmers Assn., exterior," which the National Photo Company supplied without verification, so the building's location and the association's identity remain unconfirmed. The National Photo Company was a Washington, D.C., commercial firm that recorded buildings, streets and events across the early twentieth century, and this view is generally dated to about 1919 or 1920. The 8 by 6 inch glass plate shows streaks and other blemishes from the coating's natural deterioration, which is worth noting when judging the image's clarity.
