Learn more - live more" is the slogan printed across this 1937 silkscreen poster, which announced free adult classes offered under the federal education program run by the Works Progress Administration. The program aimed to give adults who had missed schooling a chance to build reading, writing, and job skills, and its posters were meant to reach people in shops, post offices, and public buildings. The record credits the University of the State of New York as sponsor and tags the subject as Ohio, and the November 1937 date stamped on the back places it in the program's active years.
