A drawing room at Powerscourt, the Wicklow mansion of the seventh Viscount Powerscourt, Mervyn Wingfield, who died in 1904, is the subject of this 1905 card. The house stands at Enniskerry, a short distance south of Dublin, and its formal rooms were built for the entertaining expected of a leading Anglo-Irish family. Stereo cards like this were meant for a paired-lens viewer, which gave the furnishings and décor a depth that a flat print cannot match. The card carries the number 24-419 and the imprint of the War Photograph and Exhibition Company.
