*Our Christmas Dream* is a line illustration that ran in *The Illuminated Magazine* in 1844, on page 123 of volume 4. Its catalog tags point to gluttony and a shelf, suggesting a holiday scene about abundance and overindulgence, though the record itself is unverified. The year fell just after Dickens's *A Christmas Carol* (December 1843), and periodicals of the period were filling their pages with festive sentiment and comic excess. The title's promise of a dreamed holiday table makes the image worth reading as both a celebration and a joke.
