Three women, Peggy Lally, Clara Priddy, and Mary St. John, are named in the title of this glass negative, dated November 19, 1924. The National Photo Company, a Washington, D.C., studio active in the early twentieth century, made portraits and documented city life and public occasions, and its negatives were later given to the Library of Congress. The names come from data the company recorded on the negative or its sleeve and have not been independently verified. Streaks and blemishes on the glass reflect natural deterioration of the original coating.
