The 1899 lithograph *The Clubs Baby* leads with its caption, "The junior member," which points to a small child as the figure around which the design is built. The Strobridge Litho. Co. of Cincinnati and New York printed it, with Lawrence Sterner and Edward G. Knoblaugh credited as the artists and Jacob Litt listed as proprietor. Strobridge was one of the leading American firms making color lithographic posters in the 1890s, when touring productions relied on bold sheets like this to draw crowds to theater fronts. Note the small piece missing from the right edge, a reminder of how much of these posters' street life has been lost.
