Atlantic City's boardwalk is the subject here, and this stereograph captures the crowded summer scene that made the resort a national byword in the 1920s. Keystone View Company, a major publisher of stereo cards, produced such views for home parlor viewers, which let people see the beachfront in three dimensions. The card's caption lists theaters and beach scenes among its tags, a reminder that the boardwalk of that era was lined with entertainment as well as sand and surf. The date printed on the record is recorded as c1927 and remains unverified.
