Tuesday - Othelia" presents a named woman, Othelia, in the middle of domestic work, and the title's weekday points to a routine that many households kept, with Tuesday as a common wash day. M. Wolfe made the lithograph in 1934 as part of a series called *American Negro life*. This impression is signed in pencil and numbered 26 of 26, the final number of its edition. Scenes of everyday labor like this one were central to the realist printmaking of the 1930s, which turned attention to the routines of ordinary working people. The Library of Congress holds it through the Ben and Beatrice Goldstein Foundation Collection.
