A McCormick-Deering Farmall tractor pulling a reaper gives this print its particular focus: a single operator managing both machines at once in the field. International Harvester introduced the Farmall in 1924 as one of the first tractors built for row crops, with a high frame and narrow front that let it work between corn or cotton rows. Pairing it with a reaper, which cut standing grain, shows how quickly farm machinery was changing by the late 1920s. The October date in the record suggests a harvest-season scene.
