Sol Hurok, the Russian-born impresario who later built a major American business presenting concert and dance stars, appears here with his family. The record gives no date and does not name the relatives, and the Library of Congress notes that the title comes from unverified caption data recorded by Bain News Service. The Bain agency, run by George Grantham Bain in New York, sold pictures of public figures to newspapers and magazines in the early twentieth century, so this portrait reflects how prominent men of the entertainment world were presented to the public in that period.
