The tenor Enrico Caruso, a leading singer at the Metropolitan Opera in New York, is the figure named in this 1913 glass negative titled *Caruso, Easter Parade*. The Bain News Service, a New York agency that photographed city life and public figures, produced the negative, but its caption data is unverified, so the title should be read with some caution. Easter Sunday promenades along Fifth Avenue were a long-running New York tradition of fashionable dress and display, and press photographers of the period often recorded them on glass plates like this one.
