A blimp, labeled Zeppelin No. 3 in the record, rests inside its shed in this view taken from the water, a vantage that shows how large such hangars had to be. The title comes from unverified caption data kept by the Bain News Service, so the exact craft and date remain uncertain. Bain's agency supplied news photographs across the country in the early twentieth century, and airship sheds of that period were often sited near water, where wind and landing access were easier to manage. The picture is useful for seeing how lighter-than-air aviation was housed and handled before the airplane took over much of the public's attention.
