Printed in Seville in 1939, this color lithograph pairs the words "Gloria - Franco - España" with flags and military figures, and its subjects list names both. Seville had been a Nationalist stronghold since the military uprising of July 1936, and the poster appeared as the Spanish Civil War ended in April 1939. The Servicio Nacional de Propaganda, the Nationalist government's propaganda office, produced many posters like it to celebrate victory and promote Francisco Franco as national leader. Its bold slogan and patriotic imagery show how the new regime used graphic design to build public support.
