Lincoln's Lancaster County Court House is the subject here, shown in a view dated to about 1907, when the building anchored county government in the Nebraska capital. The picture survives as a halftone reproduction, a photomechanical process that let photographs be printed alongside type in newspapers and books of the period. It reproduces a photoprint copyrighted by the L.H. Nelson Co., a publisher of photographic views. The date and attribution come from an old caption card and have not been independently verified, so treat them as approximate.
