Little beyond its title survives for this large black-and-white lithograph, which advertised a bill of principal comedians. Printed in 1899 by the U.S. Printing Company of Cincinnati for the Russell-Morgan Print Company, the poster measures roughly 74 by 106 centimeters, a size suited to pasting on billboards and storefront windows. In the late 1890s, a show's leading comics were often its main draw, and posters like this one relied on bold lettering and star billing to fill seats. The copyright notice printed on the sheet reflects a common practice for commercial theater prints of the period.
