The headline sets the pitch: "Our regular divisions, honored and respected by all," followed by an invitation to enlist for the infantry or one of twelve other branches. James Montgomery Flagg, best known for his Uncle Sam "I Want You" poster, designed it, and Sackett & Wilhelms of Brooklyn printed this color lithograph in 1918, during the First World War. The blank space at the bottom was left for a local recruiting office address, so the poster could point men to their nearest station.
