Few interwar advertisements paired an airplane and a national flag as directly as this 1931 poster for LOT Polish Airlines. Designed by Gronowski and printed in Warsaw by K. Kozianskich, it promoted air travel within Poland at a time when the young republic was working to link its regions. LOT, founded in 1929, was among the earliest national airlines in Europe, and posters like this one helped persuade a public still getting used to flying. The bold color printing and simple composition show the commercial graphic style of the period.
