Its slogan, "365 Days ahead of them all," is what sets this chromolithographed poster apart from the many bicycle advertisements of its era, and it promises a year's lead over rival makers. The Keating Wheel Company of Holyoke, Massachusetts, was one of the firms that helped make that city a center of American bicycle manufacturing during the 1880s and 1890s. The color lithography was printed by Strobridge & Co. of Cincinnati and New York, a firm known for large commercial posters. The caption card gives no date, so the exact year is unverified.
