Few posters from the 1890s stand as tall as this one, which measures about 211 by 102 centimeters and was printed as a chromolithograph by Strobridge & Co. of Cincinnati and New York. Its title, *Ride a Crawford Bicycle*, places it in the bicycle boom of the mid-1890s, when the safety bicycle with wheels of equal size made cycling popular across the country. Color lithography like this was a main way companies reached shoppers, and posters were often pasted on storefronts and fences. The date and details come from an older caption card and have not been fully verified.
