This color advertisement, dated to November or December 1918, places automobiles and airplanes side by side, which sets it apart from the car-only ads on this board. It was issued by the Daimler-Motoren-Gesellschaft of Stuttgart-Untertürkheim, the maker of the Mercedes name, and is credited to the artist Klusmeyer. The armistice had been signed only weeks earlier, ending the fighting that had made Daimler's aircraft engines essential, so the advertisement appears to look toward peacetime motoring while still drawing on the firm's wartime aviation work. The record also links the firm to Austro-Daimler, a related Austrian automaker.
