Little is known about the people in this group, since the title "Kellern" comes from the National Photo Company's own notes and has not been verified. The plate is dated to about 1920 to 1921, when the Washington, D.C., studio was producing large numbers of portraits and views. Glass negatives of this age often show streaks and blemishes where the coating has deteriorated, and this one may show them too. Herbert A. French gave the plate to the Library of Congress in 1947.
