The Powder Point School, in Duxbury, Massachusetts, is the subject here, and the poster ties it to ice hockey, a winter game that was spreading through New England preparatory schools in the early 1900s. Andrew B. Graham of Washington, D.C., produced this color photo-lithograph around 1903, and the Potomac Press printed it. As a promotional piece, it was meant to attract students, and it shows how athletics had become part of what private schools offered families.
