Addressed straight to boys, this 1936 Illinois poster asks whether a young man is interested in a job and invites him to learn what an occupation has to offer. It was issued by the state office of the National Youth Administration, a New Deal program launched in 1935 to help young people stay in school, find part-time work, and prepare for employment during the Depression. The silkscreen print came out of the Works Progress Administration's poster program, which employed artists to produce public notices and information campaigns.
