This 8 by 6 inch glass negative shows a waterfront in Stockholm, a capital built across several islands where Lake Mälaren meets the Baltic Sea. It belongs to the National Photo Company Collection, a group of travel and city views made by a commercial firm that sold images to publishers and the public in the early twentieth century. The date is estimated from similar negatives in the same group, and the title is unverified. Streaks and blemishes from the aging of the glass coating are visible, which is typical of plates of this age.
