Grand Geyser, in the Upper Geyser Basin of Yellowstone National Park, is the subject here, shown in full eruption and rising about 200 feet into the air. This stereograph was issued by the Stereo-Travel Company of Corona, New York, around 1912, when stereo views of national park scenery were sold widely as parlor entertainment and travel souvenirs. Grand Geyser is one of the tallest predictable geysers in the world, and its eruptions, which typically come at irregular intervals of several hours to more than a day, were among the park's most celebrated sights for early visitors.
