A long, narrow panorama of Baltimore Street west of St. Paul Street, with ruined blocks stretching nearly the full width of the frame. The print dates to about 1904 and records the aftermath of the Great Baltimore Fire, which broke out in February of that year and burned for roughly a day and a half through the city's commercial core. The photographer J. W. Schaefer deposited the image for copyright in late July 1904. The notes warn that the left and right edges may be missing, so the scene is likely incomplete.
