Lexington Street, seen looking east from Eutaw Street, shows a stretch of the street that runs past Lexington Market, a public market that has operated in Baltimore since the late 1700s. The picture is dated about 1907, a few years after the Great Baltimore Fire of 1904 destroyed much of the downtown core, so it documents a city in the middle of rebuilding. The date is approximate, as the catalog record notes, so the exact year is worth checking against other sources.
