Titled *Home again*, this Boston lithograph shows a couple sharing a kiss, and the title presents the moment as a homecoming. The print was issued around 1867 by the firm Hendrickson, Doll & Richards, and it credits A. Dubois as the lithographer. Coming only a couple of years after the Civil War ended, when many families were reunited with men returning from service, a scene like this would have spoken to viewers who valued domestic affection. Inexpensive lithographs of this kind were widely sold, which is why so many sentimental genre prints from the 1860s survive today.
