Printed in silkscreen in 1936 under the title "Strictly business," this poster by Buczak is catalogued under business and finance in Illinois during the 1930s, a subject that fit the public-information work of the federal art projects. The WPA produced posters like this one with silkscreen, a low-cost method that allowed designers to print bold, flat color in multiple copies. The reverse carries a stamp dated September 7, 1939, a reminder that many surviving posters passed through offices and institutions long after they were first put up.
