Numbered second in its series, this card photograph carries the title "Oklahoma cyclone," yet its catalog subject heading places the storm in Louisville, Kentucky, so the location deserves a second look. The print was issued by North Losey, a View Photographers studio in Oklahoma City, which was then part of Oklahoma Territory. Studios like this sold disaster views mounted on cardstock, a popular format in the 1890s that let ordinary buyers hold a record of storm damage in their hands.
