The slogan "If it's worth living under, it's worth fighting for" ties enlistment to the American flag and to the idea of home, rather than to battle scenes. It is the second poster issued by the Associated Motion Picture Advertisers, a group that supplied movie theaters with war-themed displays, so it would have hung in cinema lobbies where audiences saw it. The record credits the design to Guenther, and the large color lithograph reflects the flag-centered recruiting appeals common after the United States entered the war in April 1917.
