Few recruiting posters from 1945 cast the future as a sunrise, but this one, titled "Dawn of your future," pairs that image with a call to enlist in the U.S. Army Air Forces. The Recruiting Publicity Bureau of the United States Army produced it, and fighter planes are its central subject. The Army Air Forces was the name of the service from 1941 until it became the U.S. Air Force in 1947, and posters like this one helped recruit men during the last year of World War II.
