*Manhunt*, a 1934 lithograph by John Steuart Curry, depicts racial terror in Kansas, with the Ku Klux Klan and the torture and lynching of African Americans among its listed subjects. Curry, who grew up in Kansas and became one of the leading Regionalist painters of the 1930s, published the print in *The American Scene*, a series issued in New York by the Contemporary Print Group that year. Curry signed the image directly on the lithographic stone, and his signature, title, and date all appear on the print, so it is a fully authenticated impression from the original edition.
